This year to go with our new activity centre at Vindolanda, we have a series of 10 minute bite-sized talks. These talks will be based around the current theme of the activity centre and start with Roman Cooking. These talks will be held in the Hadrian room at the Roman Army Museum, and will be based around the diet of a soldier. They will take place on the hour between 11am - 4pm. There is no need to book these talks, they will be free of charge with normal admission price or with a 'Friend of Vindolanda' membership.
Other dates in the series:
22nd June - Food and cooking in the Archaeology - Looking at the evidence in the archaeology at Vindolanda and in the tablets of the food that was beeing eaten.
