What's on

Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site hosts a major new exhibition in 2017 celebrating the cavalry regiments that once guarded this famous North West frontier of the mighty Roman Empire.

Watch the exhibition trailer here.

Ten heritage attractions across the length of Hadrian’s Wall are taking part in Hadrian’s Cavalry exhibition from 8 April – 10 September 2017. Visitors to each venue will be able to explore a different aspect of this unique exhibition and see first hand the exceptional group of Roman cavalry objects including ornate helmets, armour and weapons on loan from national and international museums, showcased alongside objects from museums across the Wall. At each museum, there are interactive activities and family friendly events throughout the summer. Find out what you will be able to see at each venue and the spectacular events taking place during Hadrian's Cavalry in the list below.
