Hilton Newcastle, Gateshead is ideally placed to see many of the venues hosting the Hadrian's Cavalry Exhibition. A short 30 minute stroll will take you from the hotel to the Great North Museum: Hancock to see artefacts including two spectacular, bronze Ribchester-style helmets. Travelling by car, you can be at Segedunum Roman Fort and Museum in 20 minutes and Arbeia Roman Fort in less than 30 minutes. In under an hour by car, you could be at Roman Vindolanda at the heart of Hadrian's wall, passing English Heritage sites Housesteads, Chesters and Corbridge along the way in under 40 minutes from the Hilton Newcastle.
