Those travelling from Sweden, Holland, Norway, Germany, Denmark or a number of other European countries, can make their journey to Hadrian’s Wall Country onboard a ferry. Newcastle's Royal Quays International Ferry Terminal is linked to Newcastle Central Station by a special bus service. DFDS Seaways operates ferries to the Netherlands.
There is a regular service along the Tyne Valley Railway, with connections at Carlisle and Newcastle to trains running throughout the country.
