There is a daily service** along the Tyne Valley Railway, with connections at Carlisle and Newcastle with trains from stations throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Ticket prices will vary and depend on the journey being taken.

- West Coast Line - travel to/from Manchester, Manchester Airport, Preston, Edinburgh and Glasgow
The Hadrian's Wall Country Day Ranger rail ticket allows you to discover many Hadrian's Wall attractions between the Irish Sea at Whitehaven in the west and the North Sea at Sunderland. The ticket can be purchased from staffed stations anywhere in the country or from the conductor on the train. It is not available to purchase online or from a ticket vending machine, Other Ranger and Rover tickets are also available giving you some flexibility for your journey, your destination and places to visit.
At Hexham and Haltwhistle stations, you can hop onto the AD122 bus which will take you to many Hadrian's Wall attractions and The Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre. From Bardon Mill railway station you can enjoy a circular walk to The Sill and Vindolanda. You can download the walk leaflet here
