Join us at Vallum Farm to savour the produce of land once trod by the Roman auxiliaries who lived here in the shadow of Hadrian’s Wall. Located 8 miles west of Newcastle, we offer a warm Northumbrian welcome to visitors who can enjoy excellent quality homegrown and local food served in stunning Tyne Valley surroundings.
Our vintage Tea Room with its outside deck and children’s play paddock, overlooks open fields and is open 7 days a week from 10am as is our Shop & Ice Cream Parlour which sells our fresh baked breads, pies and cakes plus our award-winning ice cream made with milk from our own cows. Our restaurant, with its wrap round glass windows, is open for lunch and dinner Friday, Saturday, plus Sundays for our very popular Sunday lunch.
Visitors of all ages enjoy the nature walks around our lake and watching the progress in our flourishing Kitchen Garden.
We also have our great venues for private entertaining. The Chef’s Room with its sumptuous furnishings and log fire are perfect for celebrations, weddings and corporate hospitality and can host up to 35. Our Restaurant can be hired with the adjacent Chef’s Room and can together accommodate up to 65. Our Paddock Marquee, the home of Vallum Country Weddings can host up to 150. With its private bar, outside deck and stunning views, it offers a unique entertaining space. Menus are designed specially to suit individual parties and are hand-prepared by our chefs in the Vallum Kitchens on site.
We look forward to welcoming you to Vallum to enjoy the many tastes, sights and sounds of Hadrian's Wall country.
