Our passion at the Trust is to preserve and share the gift of history. We want our sites to be seen not as tourist attractions, but as places people can participate in historical and archaeological research. Both our sites Roman Vindolanda Fort & Museum and the Roman Army Museum & Magna Fort are active archaeological sites.
We encourage all ages and abilities to enrich their present and future by learning from the past. As part of the Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site we are perfectly placed as a base for learning about the Wall.
Our education offer has a focus on multi-sensory study and meaningful engagement with the past. The programme is designed to meet your educational needs in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country. We have downloadable resources available for visits and for home learning and a great range of events to engage with at both our sites and online.
